Those Discovery Canyon Cross Country coaches threw down some good times on Saturday winning the 5th Annual ThunderStorm 5K and Fun Run. Assistant coach Mark Vandermeer won the men's race in a very respectable 17:07, while head coach Chris Miner won the women's race in 23 minutes flat.
The race was a fundraiser for the Counseling Department at Discovery Canyon Campus. The proceeds will be used for school-wide counseling programs such as bully, alcohol, and tobacco prevention, funding for student clubs, scholarships for High Trails, and character education. Results will be posted when available.
