This was a memorable race this year. 1st master's award and new master's course record. But also, as seen in the photo above, my racing buddy- Scott Spillman and me practically raced together for about 24 miles of the marathon. We eventually pulled away from a group of racers that were attempting to hang with us in the first 15 miles of the marathon and then it was just Scott and I on to the finish. Scott faded a little in the last few miles where I finished 4th and Scott finished 5th overall.

It was a pleasure racing with him in the race and we really helped and pushed eachother through the whole thing as we both were feeling the agony of the race in those last few miles. I will never forget that one !!!!!!
