It really doesn't get any better than this: A morning commute by bike and free breakfast.
Plan to register for the 2011 Metro Rides Bike to Work Day and Metro Rides Corporate Challenge, 6:30 to 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 15.
This year marks the 18th year Metro Rides has sponsored Metro Rides Bike to Work Day& the Corporate Challenge.

Last year over 30 businesses entered cycling teams in the Corporate Challenge where over 450 employees represented their companies. An additional 400 citizens joined in the Bike to Work Day free breakfast as independent riders. Want to know how you can join in the fun?

INDIVIDUAL RIDE YOUR BIKE TO WORK DAY
Ride your bike to work on June 15th and enjoy a free breakfast at convenient locations throughout the community while on your way. There will be great prizes given away at the breakfast.
Breakfast is free, but individual riders must register by May 31st, 2011.

 

Riders who register in June will pay a $5 late registration fee. All riders who register by May 15th, 2011 will be entered into a drawing to win some cool bike gear! You’ll also find details at www.springsbikemonth.com

ORGANIZE A TEAM AND PARTICIPATE IN THE CORPORATE CHALLENGE
Spread the word in your organization and let people know about Metro Rides Bike to Work Day. All riders get a free breakfast at convenient locations throughout the community and there will be awards, and lots of great prizes given out during the breakfast.

Then, have each member of your team register to receive a free breakfast at one of our convenient locations. Breakfast is free for individual riders who register by May 31. Riders who register in June will pay a $5 late registration fee. All riders who register by May 15 will be entered into a drawing to win some cool bike gear!
Tell co-workers about putting a team of riders together to represent your organization for some friendly competition with other businesses throughout the Pikes Peak region by entering the Corporate Challenge.

On Wednesday, June 15, have your company’s cyclists ride their bikes to one of the FREE breakfast locations on their way to work. Companies compete against each other for trophies, which are awarded to the teams with the highest percentage of riders in several categories, based on the size of the company (small, medium, large, and supersize). A Team Spirit trophy is also awarded to one outstanding team that demonstrates real spirit on Metro Rides Bike to Work Day (matching jerseys, team songs, creative bike decorations…).
