With an earlier start time
Peddle hard, Peddle right
And you could be home by midnight.
That’s right, there’s a new starting time for the Heuberger Starlight Spectacular, the 18th Annual Moonlight Ride to benefit the Trails and Open Space Coalition. The start time has been moved up a full 90 minutes, to 10:30 p.m. instead of midnight. Families, you can now get your kiddies home at a respectable hour and those without kids who still have the energy to go out dancing, well, you can probably catch the last set somewhere.

June 9, 2012 join hundreds of other fun-loving cyclists who will depart from the Garden of the Gods Visitor Center at 10:30 p.m. Two distances to choose from, 14 miles or 22 miles. Fuel up with free pizza before the ride and after you’ve burned that off there’ll be pancakes at the finish! Not to mention the opportunity to refuel along the way at the ever -popular, always entertaining rest stops in Old Colorado City and at the Park & Rec office. Back for another year with their eclectic mix of music, Pulpit Rock will pump you up before the ride.Wear a costume, illuminate your bike with decorative lighting and vie for some of the great prizes to be handed out. All proceeds benefit the Trails and Open Space Coalition, a non-profit organization that is “dedicated to the preservation of open space and parks, and the creation of a network of trails, bikeways and greenways for the Pikes Peak region.”
