Jack Quinn's Running Club president Jesus Jimenez is asking club members and others for donations to help Tuscaloosa, Ala., residents recover from the devastating tornadoes that struck there last week.
This is his message:
Jack Quinn Runners,
As you all know, the southeast was hit hard by violent tornadoes last week. In response to the devastation, Toomers for Tuscaloosa, started by a group of Auburn alumni, has coordinated an effort to delivered donated items to the hardest hit city, Tuscaloosa, Ala. If you would like to donate, you can drop off donations at any of the Jack Quinn's runs in the month of May.
Jack Quinn's Running Club runs are on Tuesday's 5:30 p.m. at the Jack Quinn Irish Alehouse and Pub, 21 S. Tejon Street.
On May 9, Northface will join the fray with a raffle to benefit tornado victims. Tickets are $1 or two two cans of food.
