It has always been our belief that every kid deserves a bike, the chance to feel the wind in their face and have some fun.
Urban Peak will host the "Fill the Shed" fundraiser at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Southside Johnny's to help provides bikes, helmets and locks for homeless teens.
Ownership of a bicycle creates independence, responsibility, fun and relationships. Urban Peak helps homeless youth and youth at-risk of becoming homeless overcome real life challenges by providing essential services and a safe community, empowering them to become self-sufficient adults.
For every $3 beer purchased, $2 will go to the Urban Peak Bike Program. Your cash donations will also be accepted. Please make checks payable to Urban Peak, Colorado Springs.
