Event Description
The Run for Rwanda 5K is held simultaneously with the community of Kibali, Rwanda. Linked with Rwanda via cell phone and live camera feed, the event allows participants in both locations to run together while raising money to build a life-saving health clinic and fund school scholarships in Kibali. The event includes, team, barefoot, and water-carry-challenge divisions; African music; Rwandan crafts and coffee for sale; and hand-made prizes for top overall, age group, and division finishers.
