The first of two Development Cycling Camp for Riders with Disabilities concludes Saturday, May 22 with an official Time Trial Race on Saturday from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Markscheffel Rd in Colorado Springs, CO.
Nineteen participating athletes including blind and visually impaired cyclists and their sighted pilots, who ride tandem bikes; cyclists with lower mobility impairments, who use hand cycles; cyclists with cerebral palsy or head injury who use both standard bikes and amputee cyclists who ride either single bikes or hand cycles have been attending the camp since Monday participating in twice per day participating in skill drills, practicing safe riding techniques and competing in race simulations.
