Westside Cares has been helping their homeless clients find work doing clean ups....but they need work boots for their clients! So we're doing a Work Boot Drive at Axe & The Oak.

All sizes needed. Bring used or buy new. Feel free to check out The Arc or Goodwill for boots even. Hiking & similar boots are also welcome as they provide the necessary support.

Work gloves are also needed and can also be brought. Heavy canvas style work gloves (like gardening gloves) are the best. A set of fishing waders or two is also needed for when working in/near streams.

Westside Cares has been around since 1983 and is based in Old Colorado City. They serve those in need West of I-25 up the pass to just after Green Mountain Falls, and from the Air Force Academy down to Fort Carson. They provide goods and services for their neighbors in need.
