Amputees Across America (AAA) is an American journey of amputees, crossing the United States on bicycles to commemorate the individuals they meet along the way who have suffered an injury or sudden illness but have not lost hope and refuse to give up. The cyclists will be stopping at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Colorado Springs as they cycle across the country.
We will welcome the AAA cyclists at the Fireman’s Memorial at Memorial Park in Colorado Springs and ride as a group, about 1 mile, to HealthSouth. There will be a BBQ fundraiser lunch with all proceeds going to Amputees Across America. Part of the event will include; an adaptive cycling clinic, tandem bike rides, wheelchair basketball demos, adaptive cross country mountain bikes, and an adaptive kayaking clinic. There will be many local and national organizations at this event. Also, there will be a drum line demonstration and a bouncy castle for the kids!
All local cyclist and their families are invited to take part in this fun event!
