The 15th Annual Tenderfoot Mountain Du/Tri will be hosted by the Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center. The adult triathlon is open to athletes 15 years of age or older. Two or three member triathlon teams are highly encouraged to enter. Average temperature on race day is high 70's. Awards are presented to the overall top three male and female triathlon and duathlon finishers and the top male and female finishers within each age group. Team awards are presented to the top male, female and co-ed teams. This is a smaller, friendly race geared towards both competitive and recreational athletes. The Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center will also host the Tenderfoot Mountain Kids' Triathlon on Sunday, September 2 for kids ages 5-14. Course consists of a 1000 meter pool swim; a 40k bike; and a 10k run. Duathlon consists of the bike and then the run portion of the triathlon.
