Scott Jaime ran through the heart of Colorado, covering nearly 500 miles of rugged backcountry on the Colorado Trail. Jaime finished in a record time of 8 days, 7 hours and 40 minutes. He jogged slowly to the Waterton Canyon trailhead and into the arms of his family and friends at about 12:45 p.m. Saturday. Physically exhausted and sleep deprived - he had one 5-minute nap in the final 59 hours of his run. Before his last push for the finish line, Jaime said he got an emotional boost from his son, Jaxon. "My son said something very important to me that inspired me," Jaime said. "He's a 14-year-old boy and he's crying and he's telling me in my ear that I inspire him. More than anything else, it made me feel responsible that I had to finish this trail and I had to do it to the best of my ability. That's when it clicked for me that nothing was going to change that and I had to sacrifice everything at that point." Read the story here > http://bit.ly/18W2Nxn.
