Start of the Winter Series IV Short-Course (10K) race
There would be no catching James Burns who blasted through the Winter Series IV short course (10K) to take the win in 33 minutes, 50 seconds and clinch the overall series title. In the women's race, Sheila Geere, 50, won again to easily claim her third series title. Geere clocked 43:24, setting an age-group (50-54) record in the process. She won all four Winter Series races.
