The 10-mile field was stacked with some of the fastest runners in the country on Sunday in the Pueblo Spring Runoff. Army Specialist Robert Cheseret, 28, of Colorado Springs, won with a time of 50 minutes, 48 seconds. Cheseret is training in the Army's World Class Athlete Development Program and hopes to qualify to run the 10,000-meters in the Summer Olympic Games. He was followed by Patrick Rizzo (51:03) and Matt Lavasssiur (51:19). The Boulder Running Company/Adidas trio of Alisha Williams, Wendy Thomas and Adrian Chouinard swept the women's race. Williams hit the line in 59:00, with Thomas striding home 14 seconds later. Chouinard crossed in 1:01:36. Al three runners are coming off solid races at the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials in Houston where Thomas placed 12th in 2:34:25. Williams was 14th in 2:35:09. Chouinard ran 2:44:06.
