Start of the Journey 5-Mile Challenge
Video of the start of the inaugural Journey 5-Mile Challenge. Pete Maksimow returned to the top of the winner's podium on Sunday (March 30, 2014) in Bear Creek Park. Maksimow covered the hilly singletrack course in 29 minutes, 49 seconds. Maksimow, also was the fastest over a point-to-point uphill section. Seth Kelley (31:49.45) and Gerald Romero (32:34.30) finished second and third respectively. Romero was the quickest in the downhill section.
Jessica Harper won the women's race in 38:34.94. She was the quickest over the uphill portion.
