Andy Rinne dashed to the win in the Take 5 in the Garden 5K on Saturday in the Garden of the Gods. Rinne, 41, of Colorado Springs, powered over the famous, hilly course in 17 minutes, 51 seconds. Ashleigh Steed (21, Colorado Springs, won the women's 5K in 21:55.
In the 5-miler, Steve Chu (34, Colorado Springs) galloped to an early lead and held on to win in 27:22. Adrian Neal (34, Colorado Springs) captured the win among the the women, with a time of 33:48.
