About

Tim Bergsten created this Ning Network.

I did a quick out-n-back on Falcon Trail today, mostly to play with my Christmas present. If you can't tell, I rode from work (the Cadet area) to the top of Stanley Canyon trail head (affectionately known to my lungs as 'Hillzilla'. I plan to experiment with a better mount system for the Flip. Or maybe ask for a Contour for my birthday...

@Brian - I'm using a Flip camera.  Not the ideal piece of gear for this, but I rigged it with an old cell phone case and attached it to the strap of my camelbak.  The Flip is better for handheld stuff.  I'm hoping to get a helmet cam like the GoPro or the Contour and start making videos of all the sweet trails around here.  I've got some ideas I might try once the weather clears up.

Very cool, Jon. In all my years of riding and running I have never ridden on the Falcon Trail - mostly cause there is sweet singletrack closer to home - but I have got to get there ... and soon. Thanks for posting!

I'm guessing that you're using a handlebar mount for your camera and that is what is causing all the back and forth motion. Is there a helmet mount option?

Great video, keep 'em coming! I love this trail video stuff. Makes me want to get out and ride. And damn, the trail looks to be in great shape!
