About 30 cyclists from Colorado Springs participated in he Ride of Silence on Wednesday.
The local Ride of Silence was be part of a world-wide effort to raise awareness about bicycling safety and the rights of cyclists to use our roads. The local ride also provided an opportunity to remember and honor those who have been killed or injured while riding in the Pikes Peak Region.
The group began its ride at Old Town Bike Shop and rode to 26st street and the location where local cyclists E.J. Juarez and Jayson Kilroy were hit and killed on Aug. 6, 2008.
Thanks to PeakPixels (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wbLDdXnSzE) for making a good video of the event.
The ride was organized by local cyclists Rob "UltraRob" Lucas and David Peal.
