Claire Rachwitz, 19, won the women's race at the Run For Rwanda 5K on Saturday, clocking a 19:57. The course begins with a 1.5-mile descent down Cottonwood Creek, before making a U-turn and burning the legs of the runners on the uphill return to the finish line.
Rachwitz participated with some of her former Rampart High School cross country teammates. She is a sophomore and member of the cross country team at Seattle Pacific University.
