If you're going to run on backcountry trails for more than 10 hours, sometimes it's nice to have company. Kerrie Bruxvoort and Silke Koester kept each other moving in the inaugural Pikes Peak Ultra 50-miler on Saturday in the mountains west of Colorado Springs. They hit the finish line side-by-side after jumping a large bull snake near the end of the race.
