Marshall Thompson was untouchable in the XTERRA Marathon of Trail Races Marathon on Saturday (Oct. 6, 2012). The Crested Butte bar tender drove slept about four hours, then drove for hours to reach the starting line. He showed no signs of fatigue, taking the win in 3:05:12 on a rolling singletrack course. Lars Kjerengtroen was second, about 19 minutes off the winning pace.
