The Boulder Running Company's Mario Macias charged away from the starting line, built a lead and kept it on Saturday in the 2011 Pikes Peak Ascent. Macias won in 2:08:57, one of the fastest times ever recorded on the mountain. Matt Carpenter has the record, 2:01:06, but few runners have cracked the 2:10 mark.
