Regina Hammond, 37, of Colorado Springs said she had worked for three years to win the Fall Series. On Sunday, she nailed down her first series title with a second-place finish on the tough 7.5-mile course. Hammond covered the disatance in 1:04 flat. Her four-racxe combined time was 2:56:52. Nicole Rosa, 51, Colorado Springs, was second in the series with a combined 3:00:21, followed by 12-year-old Kayli Tabares in 3:01:41.
