Fire department spokeswoman talks about efforts to fight the Stratton Open Space fire
A fire that erupted in Stratton Open Space Monday afternoon was nearly contained by 6 p.m. Fire Department spokesman Sunny Smaldino said about 50 firefighters responded because the area is full of dry brush and grass with homes nearby. About 2.7 acres burned.
