Kevin Dessart opened the new Colorado Springs Recreation Center in September. We spent the afternoon hanging out there. Watched the Ironman World Championships broadcast and shot the breeze with Ironman competitors Neal Oseland and Eric Peterson. Dessart is passionate about the rec center and is working to make it a facility for top athletes as well as families and weekend warriors. The Colorado Springs Recreation Center is located at 280 S. Union in Memorial Park.
