Ultrarunner Brandon Stapanowich of Manitiou Springs, Colo., finished the 485-mile Colorado Trail in 9 days, 14 hours, 28 minutes, one of the quickest times in the trail's 29-year history. He now has the "fastest known time" for a self-supported hiker, meaning he picked up his food and supplies at designated points along the way and could accept to assistance.
