Off and running in the 34th 5K on St. Patrick's Day in downtown Colorado Springs. Tesfaalem Mehari, 22, streaked to the win in 14 minutes, 51 seconds, a few ticks off the race record (14:45) set by Ryan Kirkpatrick in 2007.
Misiker Demessie, 31, won the women's race in 17:10.
