Allie McLaughlin of Colorado Springs charged up the final switchbacks to win the 2014 Pikes Peak Ascent and lead team USA to the World Mountain Running Association Long Distance Championship. McLaughlin's time of 2:33:43 is the third best by a female in race history. She is the first woman from the Colorado Springs area to win the race since Cindy O'Neill in 2000.
