Alex Nichols sprinted down Ruxton Ave. in Manitou Springs as he neared the finish of the Pikes Peak Marathon on Sunday (Aug. 22, 2016.) Nichols won the prestigious mountain race for the second-consective year, running to the 14,115-foot summit of Pikes Peak and back in 3 hours, 40 minutes, 29 seconds.
