ROLL 2012 will feature a variety of
hands-on activities for young and old
alike. Bring your peloton to 219 W.
Colorado to catch one or all these
events:
5:30 - 6:30 PM Kat Tudor teaches a
FREE Bike Yoga Class. Bicycling
and Yoga go hand-in-hand to build
flexibility and balance. Cross-training
will improve your maneuvering skills
and your post-ride recovery. Kat
teaches positions which
counterbalance the road, mountain,
recumbent and cruiser ride postures.
But, if you're super nice, she may
find Yoga training for Pixie Riders, too!
6:30 - 7 PM Brendan Hannigan
introduces the Mobile Music Project
under the Colorado Bridge. The MMP
is premiering at ROLL on Opening
Night thanks to the Pikes Peak
Community Foundation! Spectators
are invited to power a live stage by
pedaling a bicycle. That's right, the
amplification is completely human
powered!!! WOW! Brendan
demonstrates how to operate this
high-tech piece of equipment.
7 - 8 PM Local Artists Mango fan
Django will perform on the Mobile
Music Project stage powered by
the fearless pedaling feet of your
peerless cycling peloton! Mango
fan Django has been playing
Gypsy Jazz in Colorado since 1998
and is known for a unique style of
acoustic guitar swing that has
delighted audiences of all ages.
Participants can try the new way to
hydrate, purified water and
Hydration Factor, provided through
the support of Natural Grocers by
Vitamin Cottage!
8 - 8:30 PM Local Pro Flatland BMX
cyclist James McGraw will
demonstrate his artistry on two
wheels. Stunning the young at heart
and raising the bar for teen BMXers,
James competes on the
International stage before he comes
home to El Paso County. Flatland
BMX requires balance, flexibility,
strength, speed and sensible risk-
taking. Witness exciting Flatland
BMX skills and drills, but don't
imitate! Instead, bring your camera.
See you there...August 3rd!
