My best ride would have to be when I was 19 and I tried racing bicycles. I could not hold a high pace for long enough to finish a crit race. I had been training hard and decided that I could do better than I had in the past so I showed up for a small race in MD. The race started off like the rest the pace was around 30mph. I was near the front just trying to hang on on this 3/4 mile circiute of 4 90 degree turns. After a few laps I knew that I was not going to be able to hold the pace if kept up like this. I knew it would becouse the local pro that just got back from some race out west was thier setting the pace. So right before a turn I sprinted off the front hit the turn at 37 mph. Then tried my best to stay away as long as I could. I did not make it a lap. The pack picked up the pace and cought me. I was soon droped. That was one of my best rides becouse I went out with a little glory and some fun attacking. For somone who has no athletic ability that was always picked last for any sporting game had a chance to have a pro eat my dust was great. Merry Christmas!!
