64. SATURDAY- 11/18/17-- MOAB, UTAH-- DEAD HORSE 30K- (MAD MOOSE)--
* IN MY COOL KICK ASS BEER RACING SHORTS-- 12TH OVERALL out of almost 300 - 2:32-- 1ST PLACE DIVISION PODIUM AWARD. (actually ran closer to a 32k)
Cool brisk sunny morning-- rolling terrain on technical trail, smooth slick rock, and dirt roads at approximately 4,000 + feet. Hung in with the top group well, and stayed competitive, took advantage of using my strength and trail experience in certain areas where I was able to capitalize on beating my opponents. Somehow a few runners snuck in between me where they ran a shorter course therefore moving me to 12th, sometimes thats how it ends up in a crazy trail race. ONLY IN MOAB BABY !!!!!!!!!!
