In celebration of the 100th race on July 19th the series has upped the endurance with a 50-mile race at Cheyenne Mountain State Park and will feature its very first Fat Bike race. From first time racers to National Champions, World Cup, World Championship and Olympic racers, the Ascent Cycling Series has had them all, and every year these racers return to enjoy the sport they love.

Area cyclists have always supported the series, with 120 or more racers attending regularly. Multi-time national champion Cameron Chambers is a fan.

“It is local events like the Ascent Cycling Series that are the heart of cycling," Chambers said. "This is the link that connects Pro riders with the community that makes up their sport and market place. As well it inspires new riders and young racers to see that the fast guys and gals are just normal people who love riding bikes."
