Position Title: Team In Training Colorado Springs Triathlon Coach & Assistant Coach
Position Classification: Contracted, Hours vary, compensation is per participant
Basic Function: Responsible for implementing the coaching elements of the Team In Training pro-gram campaign in a set region. (Colorado Springs)
Duties & Responsibilities:
Schedule, coordinate and manage all group training sessions in the region (at least one swim and bike or run training per week—every Saturday morning).
Attend and speak at all recruitment meetings held in your area.
Assist in scheduling clinics on endurance training related topics including form, nutrition, massage, injury prevention, stretching, tri 101, etc.
Provide training support to all participants.
Contact participants individually multiple times throughout the season (approx. 20 week season).
Prepare elements of group trainings required for success (make sure all training courses are clearly marked, provide adequate water stops/aide stations, secure any necessary permits).
Attend event weekends as assigned.
Maintain current CPR and First Aid certification.
Maintain knowledge of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society mission.
Prepare and maintain assigned paperwork (coach reports).
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Previous coaching skills
Knowledge of all elements of a triathlon
Excellent communication skills and an enthusiasm for the program.
Ability to coach participants of all levels to complete a sprint, Olympic or half ironman distance triathlon.
Professional demeanor.
Strong interpersonal skills and judgment
Access to computer programs and email required.
