Cramps put clamp on Michi Weiss' repeat attempt at Ironman St. George
ST. GEORGE - Defending champion Michael Weiss knew when he got out of the water of the Sand Hollow Reservoir, something wasn't right about his quest in the 2011 Ford Ironman St. George.
He admitted he had a miserable swim, and then on the bike things went from bad to worse.
Weiss' back began to tighten up and his quads started to cramp up.
Eventually, Weiss threw in the towel on his attempt to claim another Ironman St. George title.
