About 150 happy dogs took their owners for a run on Saturday in the National Mill Dog Rescue Ruff Life Freedom 5K Run/Walk at America the Beautiful Park.
The event was a fundraiser for Mill Dog Rescue, a nonprofit that works to save adult dogs from puppy mills and place the animals in a loving, permanent home.

The racing was excellent with several area high school runners turning in the top times.
