Schedule of Events

Thursday, August 18th (Alamo Square Park, 200 S. Tejon St, Downtown Colorado Springs)

• 5:00PM-8PM:
• Displays by local running organizations and businesses
• Jack Quinn's Running Club fun run for all ages and abilities
• Beer gardens featuring only local breweries
• Food trucks
• Children activities
• Packet pick up for the Pikes Peak Marathon & Ascent
• Live music with Austin Young
• Ascent and Marathon apparel for sale

Friday, August 19th (Memorial Park, Manitou Springs)

• 9:00AM-7PM: Packet Pick-up and Race Expo
• Ascent and Marathon apparel for sale all weekend
• 1:30PM: Elite Athlete Press Conference
• 5:30-7:00PM: Kiwanis Club Spaghetti Dinner, $12
• 6:00PM: 60th Running Presentation & Video
• 6:30PM: Q&A Session

Saturday, August 20th (Memorial Park, Start Line)

• 5:30-7:15AM: Sweat check adjacent to start. Packet pickup (Ascent only)
• 6:45AM: Pre-Race Ceremony
• 7:00AM: First wave start at 600 block of Manitou Avenue. Runners #1-199
• 7:30AM: Toll road to Pikes Peak summit opens
• 7:02AM -> 7:25: Remaining waves start on 1 minute intervals.
• 9:05AM: Approximate time for first male finishers.
• 9:25AM: Approximate time for first female finishers.
• 11:00AM: First shuttle bus from summit arrives in Manitou Springs.*
• 11:00-4:00PM: Post Race Celebration & Beer Garden in Memorial Park
• 12:00-7:00PM: Race Expo
• 1:00-7:00PM: Marathon Packet pickup
• 2:00PM: Finish line closes
• 4:30-7:00pm: Kiwanis Club Spaghetti Dinner, $12
• 5:30PM: Ascent awards presentation
• 6:00PM: 60th Running Presentation & Video
• *Ascent Finisher shirts/results posted in Memorial Park as they are received.

Sunday, August 21st (Start/Finish Line, Soda Springs Park)

• 5:30-6:45AM: Sweat check adjacent to start; packet pickup (Marathon)
• 7:00AM: First wave start at 600 block of Manitou Avenue. Runners #1-199
• 7:02AM - 7:15: Remaining waves start on 1 minute intervals.
• 10:20AM: Approximate time for first male finishers.
• 11:15AM: Approximate time for first female finishers.
• 12:00-5:00PM: Post Race Celebration & Beer Garden at Soda Springs Park
• 3:00PM: Awards presentation (Soda Springs Park)
• 5:10PM: Finish line officially closes
