I have a friend that is riding the Leadville 50 because he did not get in the Leadville 100.  He is looking for a map of the Leadville 50 because it is no longer on the website.  Does anyone know where he can get one?

Hi Christi, I found this map on Map my Ride. Not sure if it's 100% accurate but here it is: http://www.mapmyride.com/ride/united-states/co/leadville/598080579

I rode the race 7-8 years ago. For some reason I can't seem to upload a scanned image of the course map. Trying again. If it fails, I can email you the jpeg no prob

Thanks Brian! I am sure he will love this!
You can find the map, elevation profile and GPS files on Mark Wallace's site. They made a couple small changes to the course last year including going across some private land that was open only on race day. Last year was my 4th time doing the Silver Rush 50 and I've finished the Leadville 100 5 times. The Silver Rush is much tougher per mile than the 100. As Ken says, "It's like the 100 with the easy sections taken out." That said, the courses are totally different and don't even come close to each other.
Thanks Rob!
