Cyclists invited to check out SoCO Velo's 2013 Kick-Off Meeting and Membership Drive

If you want to become involved in one of the largest cycling clubs in southern Colorado, stop by the SoCo Velo Kick-Off Meeting and Membership Drive at 6 p.m., March 1, at Bicycle Village, 2450 Montebello Square.
There will be a Fit Kit to check-out and try on our new SoCO Velo Pactimo custom line of cycling gear. We will be signing up and renewing members, discussing our 2013 member benefits package, answering questions, talking about the 2013 cycling season and accepting applications for the 2013 SoCO Velo sponsored race team!

  • Southern Colorado Velo (SoCO Velo) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports and educates cyclists of all levels and interests. Our goal is to promote the sport of cycling in the Pikes Peak region and Southern Colorado. We aim to encourage participation in competitive events, organized group and training rides, cycling specific clinics and social events. SoCO Velo supports a developmental cycling team, and casual cycling club, participates in local trail work, educates cyclists about skills and fitness, instructs bicycle maintenance clinics and hosts local youth bike safety rodeos.
    To benefit the community, SoCO Velo provides men, women and children with a network of support. This includes group rides at all levels, discounts on cycling goods and services, invitations to a variety of social events, trail work days, skills and maintenance clinics, local bike safety rodeos and the opportunity to meet many other like-minded cyclist in our community.
