Another big cycling event is coming to Colorado Springs in 2011.

The Mountain States Cup has announced that it will begin its nine-weekend mountain bike series with a three-day stage race at Cheyenne Mountain State Park.

The event is slated for April 8-10 and will include cross country, short track and time trial races.

The Mountain States Cup is a regional championship series for racers of all levels.

The Mountain States Cup has set the stage for 2011 with new venues, more endurance stage racing, new DH courses and more of the same racing you have come to love from the MSC. The season will consist of nine weekends and 36 events across all disciplines including cross country, downhill, four cross, super d, short track, hill climbs and time trials.
