From the Palmer Land Trust

Come take a hike with Palmer Land Trust staff on January 8 at Section 16 to celebrate the transfer of the property from the State Land Board to the City of Colorado Springs.  Palmer staff will be on hand to answer questions about the transfer and to explain the conservation easement Palmer now holds on the property.  After decades of work, let's celebrate this monumental achievement for open space in the Pikes Peak Region!  Meet at the Section 16 trailhead at 10 a.m.  Dress appropriately for the weather and bring water.  For more information call Amanda Hill at 719-632-3236

To reach the trailhead: From Hwy 24, drive south on 26th St. to Gold Camp Rd. Turn right (west) on Gold Camp. Drive about a mile to the trailhead parking lot. The lot is small, so carpooling is a good idea.
