The future of the Bear Creek Watershed trails system will be discussed today (Tuesday, Feb. 25) at a public open house , 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., in the Pikes Peak Room at the Colorado Springs Utilities' Leon Young Service Center, 1521 Hancock Expressway.
Many trails in the watershed are currently closed, but could be reopened with some modifications. Other trails may be closed permanently to protect the last known genetically pure strain of the greenback cutthroat trout, Colorado's state fish.
