The second race in the Triple Crown series, the Summer Roundup Trail Run is set for 7 a.m. July 10 at Bear Creek Park. The Summer Roundup uses the trails in Bear Creek Park to get to High Drive on the west side of Colorado Springs. Both the trails and High Drive are well-groomed with lots of spectacular scenery. The out-and-back course is mostly uphill on the way out, and mostly downhill on the way back. Starting elevation is about 6,170', and the elevation at the turn around point is about 7,165'. That’s nearly 1,000' elevation gain in 3.7 miles (at the turn around point).

Directions: Take I-25 to the Cimarron exit (exit 141). Cimarron is the same as Hwy-24. Head west on Cimarron to 21st Street. Turn left (south) onto 21st Street. Go about 2 miles to Bear Creek Park, which is just past the light at Rio Grande. Turn right onto Argus Blvd. Proceed about 200 yards and turn right into the park.
