The fourth race in the Grand Prix of Running series, the Classic 10K, is one of the fastest races in the state. The point-to-point course follows the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail along Fountain Creek, and is slightly downhill the entire way.
It's a great place to set a 10K PR.
The race begins near Tiffany Square on the southwest corner Woodmen Rd. and Corporate Center Dr. (just west of I-25). From there, runners travel south with the race ending in Monument Valley Park - the same area used for high school cross country races and the Nielson Challenge.
New this year! The first male and female runners to reach the 5K point will win an additional $100.
