Description: A quick and easy hike, this southeast connection of the Pikes Peak Greenway heads south from America the Beautiful Park paralleling the Fountain Creek. Join us on this spring hike that is sure to feature beautiful new buds of life on trees and plants! Take a quick trip down to the creek to look for animal tracks and identify tons of different plant species! Remember: regardless of weather we will hike. There is no such thing as poor weather, only poor clothing choices. Remember to pack items you may need for a day hike including healthy snacks, water, sunscreen, a hat, jacket etc...Friendly dogs who clean up after themselves are allowed on this hike. Bring your Easter baskets kids...I'm pretty sure the Easter Bunny uses this route to get around town!
Directions to parking: Take I-25 to Colorado Ave, head east. Turn right onto Cimino Dr. Park in dirt lot across from park or along the street. Map
Meetup location: We will be meeting near the tall pillars at the East entrance of the park (opposite side of the circular Julie Penrose fountain).
