Tim Bergsten..I did it in 29:24 when I was 48 in 2007, but I started timing at the point where the parking lot trail meets the track. I think most people time themselves from the Barr Trail parking lot. The parking lot trail takes me three minutes at a normal pace, so I added and came up with 32:24. I haven't come close to this time since then. Maybe this year! (Hey, I can dream can't I?)
1 hr 10 min carrying 30+ lbs on back & in heavy mountaineering boots from Barr Trail parking to top, 50 min back down with same load. That extra weight really makes a difference for us "not-so-runner" hiker types, and its good strength training for the legs while still working the cardio too. (and gets lots of fun looks and comments too)
