He hit the race high point - the Will Rogers Shrine - after 1,400 feet of climing, then charged back to the finish at the zoo to take the win in 43 minutes, 26 seconds.<br /> It was a good day for the masters runners, with 42-year-old Wes Thurman (Colorado Springs), placing second 44:24.
