Scott Dahlberg wins Bolder Boulder 10K

Scott Dahlberg said he had to run scared in the Bolder Boulder, but the plan worked. Dahlberg, who runs for the Boulder Running Company/Adidas team, held off teammate Andy Wacker to take the win in 30 minutes, 50 seconds. Dahlberg, who graduated from Peyton High School in 2003, is an assistant cross country coach at Colorado State University.
"Growing up in Colorado, knowing about Bolder Boulder, it's always been a goal to win it at some point and today I felt good."
It was Dahlberg's first win in six tries at Bolder Boulder.
Wacker clocked 30:56.

Ultrarunner Scott Jaime completes Colorado Trail in record 8 days, 7 hours, 40 minutes

Scott Jaime ran through the heart of Colorado, covering nearly 500 miles of rugged backcountry on the Colorado Trail. Jaime finished in a record time of 8 days, 7 hours and 40 minutes. He jogged slowly to the Waterton Canyon trailhead and into the arms of his family and friends at about 12:45 p.m. Saturday. Physically exhausted and sleep deprived - he had one 5-minute nap in the final 59 hours of his run. Before his last push for the finish line, Jaime said he got an emotional boost from his son, Jaxon. "My son said something very important to me that inspired me," Jaime said. "He's a 14-year-old boy and he's crying and he's telling me in my ear that I inspire him. More than anything else, it made me feel responsible that I had to finish this trail and I had to do it to the best of my ability. Tim Scott and staff worked hard to make the 24 Hours of Colorado Springs happen. After the final rider had finished, Scott was happy with the outcome and positive about the future of the race.
