Ortiz hit the finish line in 5 hours and 54 seconds, then found an ice pack for the hot sports. She also set an age-group record for the ascent, covering the 13.32-mile climb in 3:11:05. The win was her second in the marathon. She is a four-time winner of the Pikes Peak Ascent.
