Payne, 26, of Franktown, covered a tough course in 18:57.7. Cody Hill, 39, of Colorado Springs, the owner and manager of the Boulder Running Company Colorado Springs store and manager the BRC/adidas team, clocked 18:12.4 to place second in the men's race.<br />
Julian Wheating, 22, of Denver, won the men's race in 17:52.8. Ronnie Archuleta of Colorado Springs finished third (18:51.4).<br />
Colorado Running Company runner Connilee Walter (20:14.2) was second among the women. CM Butler was third in 20:25.5.
